Industry Minister Sashi Panja – Special Session on Prospects for Industrial Growth in West Bengal

Kolkata 10th Aug 2022: West Bengal has political and financial stability, which is crucial to industrial development, according to Commerce and Industry Minister Sashi Panja on Friday.

The Merchants Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) has established itself as one of the fastest-growing and top-ranking Chambers within Kolkata. Kolkata. It was founded in a time that was amidst a National Upsurge, its prime purpose has been to give the impression of honesty and secularity as well as a sense of optimism in the business world that is Eastern India. The Chamber is expanding its reach all over the world and in the United States with well-thought-out and meaningful initiatives that aim to propel Indian Industry to a higher growth rate.

In the past, the Chamber has an important legacy of unifying the business community of Kolkata and forming an association and voicing its voice of protest against every kind of injustice in prior to independence. It played a prominent nationalist function at various times during the more than 117 years since its inception. In its 117 years of existence, the Chamber is always at the forefront of the challenges that were faced and the policy decisions that are taken by the new India and has fought for indigenous industries to create prosperity and jobs for millions of Indians living in India.

The minister went to two consecutive meetings with participants of the Bengal National Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BNCCI) as well as the Merchants Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI) in the city.

Industry Minister Sashi Panja pointed out that following her election three times, the areas of industrialization and job generation remained the two primary areas of focus for the chief secretary Mamata Banerjee.

Today’s event was attended by Hon’ble Shashi Panja Mahashya, Minister of Women and Child Welfare, (MCCI President Shri Rishabh Chandra Kothari,) (MCCI Senior Vice President Shri Lalit Beriola,) and many other distinguished guests.
