Kolkata, 27th Sep: A biopic is being made on the football life of former legendary footballer Mehtab Hossain. His official announcement was made at East Bengal Club on Monday.
Director Bappa is bringing Mehtab’s biopic to the screen under the banner of Dhaga Productions. It is said that this film will be released next year. Nothing has been revealed about who will play Mehtab’s role or if Mehtab will be seen in any part in the movie.
The announcement was made at a press conference at the East Bengal Club on Monday.

But the story of joining and leaving the political stage after retiring from football is not there.
He said, “Joining politics is the wrong decision of my life. This film will be made around my football life”, said the former Bengali midfielder.
East Bengal head coach Debbrat Sarkar, who was present at the event, said, “Mehtab’s story of becoming a footballer will inspire new players.
