Kolkata, 2nd Oct: The Meteorological Department Kolkata has predicted rain across the state during the Puja season.
From Saptami to Dasami, there will be light to moderate rain in several areas of South Bengal on all four days of Puja.
At present, there is a cyclone located over the Northeast Bay of Bengal.
Today above five districts Darjeeling Jalpaiguri Kalimpong Cooch Behar Alipurdua will have fair weather. It will rain in Malda and Dinajpur, from tomorrow rain will increase that is on 3rd 4th 5th light to moderate rain will occur. The temperature in North Bengal has gone up to 36. South Bengal will have mostly cloudy skies for the next three to four days. Light to moderate rains may occur in South 24 Parganas and East-West Midnapur.

According to the forecast of the Alipur Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall in almost all the districts of South Bengal on Saptami, Ashtami, and Navami. Heavy rain may occur in several areas of South 24 Parganas, Birbhum, East and West Midnapore on Sunday. It started raining in West Medinipur in the afternoon. It has rained in Maldah too.

Apart from this, the Meteorological Department said, there is a possibility of heavy rains in both Medinipur on Ashtami and Navami. Heavy rain may occur on Ashtami in some areas of South 24 Parganas.

According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclone is located in the east-central Bay of Bengal. As a result, there is the movement of water vapor in the districts of South Bengal. Besides, another cyclone is likely to form over the northeast adjacent east-central Bay of Bengal during the next 24 hours. The impact of this pair of cyclones is going to be felt in South Bengal during Puja.
